Research Codes of Ethics

The field of humanitarian studies has, as yet, no specific code of ethics. This is partly due to the fact that it has not been long established as a discipline; moreover, many studies in the field of humanitarianism are carried out using research methods from other 'traditional' disciplines, such as sociology, anthropology and the medical sciences.

This page is a guide to a number of key aspects of ethical conduct in research methods, giving resources that are both practical and theoretical.
